This pyramid is probably the key site yet discovered. Off limits but there's something, as yet inexplicable, to be found there.
Not that it's necessary, but that shot of Lauer is another pile driver into the Tomb Theory. Apparently, old Antiquarian Reisner was stumbling around the site as well and placed a report which has even been discredited by his own ilk.
But a water clock?
The Ziggurat at Ur was a viewing platform. I can see a connection between it and Zawiyet el-Aryan. What did they place in those sockets?
All pyramids in their truncated form could be, and most probably were, observatories (viewing platforms). The finished pyramid, not so. In fact, that use is entirely negated by enclosing and capping the structure.
These platforms are worldwide, but only in Egypt do some have the pointed tops which renders them useless for observation. Some platforms and some permanent markers? Certain ages and certain stars? Once observation had been coded, and with 26 000 years before another turn of The Wheel, capped and preserved? Once Year 1 was established, only observation and time-keeping was now necessary - Sumerians, Babylonians, Maya, Inca etc.
