Perhaps it's a cultural difference. Here in England these cult leaders have such a low profile, I doubt if many ordinary people here have ever thought about the kinds of people your book is about. From England, America is looking more and more neurotic, which is very sad because America produced some great culture in the past.
We obviously have different priorities, and I wish you well in your endeavours also.
