Back in the 50s when people characterized more evolved humans in a distant future they would often depict them with larger brains, flying cars and a lot of cool gizmos and gadgets.

The saints and sages that have written on the subject of the higher ages describe them more in terms of changes in consciousness. For example, Paramahansa Yogananda writes in Autobiography of a Yogi that when this world gets back to the next Treta Yuga, in 4100AD, (the last one occurred in a pre-Babel age), “telepathy and clairvoyance will once again be common knowledge”. Sri Yukteswar, in The Holy Science also describes the different yugas more in terms of vastly different perceptions and capabilities, as mankind no longer thinks of himself as merely a mortal bag of flesh and bones but as something almost infinitely more capable.

Tommy the Time-Traveling Turtle uses the Greek terms: Age of Man (Iron Age), Age of the Hero (Bronze Age), Age of the Demigods (Silver Age) and Age of the Gods (Golden Age) to hint at the different capabilities of whatever we are in the higher ages.

If there is a higher age again then how would you describe what life might be like in a few thousand years?

“Truly the greatest gift you can give is that of your own self-transformation.”
Chinese Philosopher – Lao Tzu
