2. In Lost Star I mentioned the Grand Center is most likely Alcyone in the Pleiades, and this is still my best guess based on all available data. Background: Vishnunabhi is referred to as the grand center or grand magnetic center or Seat of Brahma by Yukteswar and others, and thus some thought it might be what we call the galactic center, but I never thought this likely (too far away) and Yukteswar never said it. Lori Pratt or Sister Tara Mata, author of Astrological World Cycles, refers to this spot as Alcyone, the brightest star in the Pleiades (which is obviously much much closer than the GC). There is much myth and folklore to relate this to the higher ages including the still prevalent saying "those halcyon days". This star is also referred to as Mother or The Central One, etc.

3. No, Vishnunabhi is not the GC, in my opinion, and none of the informed authors that write on the subject have made this claim, although it does seem to be a modern myth!
