Here is something we teach the little ones:

Just as we can tell the time of day by noticing the position of the sun in the sky, and tell the time of year by noticing in what constellation the sun rises, so can we tell time in the precessional cycle or Great Year, by noticing in which constellation the sun rises on the Autumnal Equinox (the equinox is the hour hand of the celestial clock and the 12 constellations of the ancient zodiac make up the 12 numbers on the face of the celestial clock in the sky).

No one knows the exact origin of our present system of time - although it can be traced back as far as the ancient Egyptians and Babylonians. What we do know is that our 24-hour system of time with its 12-hour period of ascending light (AM) and 12-hour period of descending light (PM) is an exact microcosm of the 24 thousand year precessional cycle (Great Year) with its 12,000-year ascending phase and 12,000-year descending phase.

Isn’t that just like the Ancients? They hid a copy of the Great Year on our clocks and wristwatches!

Do you know what time it is now?
