Our consciousness is affected constantly and continually by many factors . Is coffee a drug for example. Does the effects of pranayama effect chemical changes in our blood , producing natural drugs from within to produce a euphoric feeling ?

The pleasure we may derive from certain foods --are we ' under the influence ' when enjoying them ?

Phermones, hormones, physical attraction is a drug that leads to arousal , an altered state of consciousness .

Drugs are completely neutral [ as is money for example ] .It is how they are utilised that one may deem there benefits or demerits .If it helps someone tap into creative, deep sides of their being - or fascilitates spirit journeys, then how can one pass negative judgement on such ?

The Beatles were really, really cool .They inspired millions, changed and grew with the times and wrote some songs that will eternally echo on .They encapsulated the soul of a culture in three minutes or less, at times .Enlightened no, but at times extremely inspired .

As ' Don Juan ' said many times, one needs to be able to change their assemblege point .Where the knot is, the perspective originates . Drugs can help free the soul, but also can enslave it .
