Learning my son was in rehab with Castaneda in the mid '90s, I began investigating.

It was rather obvious Castaneda's mind was no longer "normal" but he had already established Cleargreen in an effort to "make progress".
He, along with a few cohorts, desided to create a business out of a cult. (Against the advice of DJ, "Not-for-personal-gain")

As a result, all of the actual teachings of Don Juan (books 1 ~ 9) were corrupted and twisted to suit their new cult-business.
