Just a few weeks ago, a friend sent me a link to a New York times article about a new book being published. It was the new Carl Jung, Red Book. There were a few images, being compared to the work of William Blake. It inspired me to open a drawer of my own drawings that I had not seen for years. As I was going through them, I found an old sketch book. In it was a hand with symbols on each finger and the palm. I didn't remember where it came from. Later that day I went to a store for a list of things I needed. As I walked in I noticed a display of Dan Brown's new book, The Lost Symbol. I bought it on impulse. That night as I began reading, I felt the hair raise on the back of my neck. I got out of bed, re-opened the drawer of drawings. It took me almost 30 minutes before I found the drawing of the hand. It was dated 1972 and was being mentioned in The Lost Symbol. I discovered it was called The Hand of the Mysteries. It was Carl Jung who coined the word, "Synchronicity".
