So we have a wide swath of learning which is binding to ideas and precepts and I am not saying this is bad ... I am just saying generally if the teacher is good (or the DVD or the modus-teacher) then it will have affect, / effect on the student and be of benefit. But it does not make him necessarily more free or more independent ... It has imbued him with knowledge, and perhaps perspective to enhance his functioning.
But in one on one, a teacher can take the student over the boundary, teach them how to do it themselves, and let things progress from there. This is paradigm changing for the student, in most cases.
