That's another tragic phenomenon in Catholicism were men couldn't overtly be homosexuals and offen had this only way to hide their real state of mind by entering in priesthood where the contact with women
was not a problem.
St Paul also had to fight all his life an attraction for the same sex and
had an aversion for the opposite sex. This is a tragedy because there are men today who recognize themselves in St Paul scriptures and Augustine ones and who never realize that the origin of the problem are themselves and not the other sex.
Of course there are also women who hate men or who want to use men.
Those who have been abused be it men or women rarely pay back their dues to the abuser. But they offen develop the drive to derive vengeance in future relationships with people who had nothing to do with their abuse in the first place. Talk about a vicious circle.
