That's good to know, Ray - yes certain educational models (both secondary and higher education) such as the Dewey system and Steiner and Montesorri school do encourage a more rounded, many-sided development. Some Scandinavian skills-based and problem-based learning systems are also showing that the modern world requires a radically different approach. Would be great to know if anyone else can identify any others...?
