What's so great about it?

There is such a wide variety of experience you can have... personal insight, communing with the spirits of the dead, communicating with what seems to be ayahuasca itself, exploring realms of spirits with little connection to our Earthly lives... Discovering your psychic periscope and your intention and imagination as guides.

Ayahuasca made me very interested in Rudolf Steiner's visionary philosophy, which seemed to explain many of the experiences one could have.

There is also a layer of psychic experiences that can occur... telepathy, telekinesis (things bursting into flame or things coming into the ceremony at exact synchronous moments). Also the extraordinary power of music and sound as a navigation device.

Different traditions also seem to connect with totally different realms. Santo Daime for instance is so different from various indigenous traditions like the Secoya or Shipibo.

How connected it makes you feel with nature and the cosmos and your own vital essence.

So many things.
