Sounds like we are quite on the same page, Lenie, although just to be clear, the 'targets' I was envisioning all pertain to Sirius.

For example, if the 'setting' and 'rising' of Sirius are two such targets, I would consider their relative midpoint as a possible third target. Anything beyond that like quarter points would be too derivative, for me.

No need to explain that you are not "advertising" for your book, Lenie, as I know that you are really concerned with how much of your thesis you can share here, practically speaking.

People who might think that likely have NO idea how much work it takes to write a book, especially one that involves serious research, as your's definitely must. Most authors of such ilk will surely agree that they would make more money making minimum wage, but it's so worth the time when the research, writing, writing and rewriting comes from the heart.
