I do not ever call anyone stupid. And, yes, I could have worded it better.Quote
Since distance - world's apart - and your failing eye sight prevents me showing you anything from my life it is impossible to argue with you in earnest.
But it is alway annoying that you think you can challenge others by saying we believe in our experiences rather than we know.
How stupid do you think others are that we don't know when something has happened?
Yes, everyone knows when they have had an experience of any sort, but if they report an experience which involves any kind of supernatural being, or agency, etc, then there is no method at all for that person to prduce independent, verifiable evidence of whatever it is that they can visualise or are thinking of in their minds.
It would, however, be cumbrsom to phrase it as 'know beyond any reasonable doubt and with objective evidence' each time the word 'knows' is used.
But everyone knows that Danish pastries are real!! We know what they are made of etc etc = objective evidence, so we have no reason to say they onlybelieved they had eaten it. And even if they did not actually eat it, it makes no difference to the real world of the everyday and is not trying to make anyone believe in the supernatural!Quote
I just ate a Danish pastry, I know I did, but maybe I only believe I did?
I hope the above is reasonable enough!! :)Quote
Oh, come on, be a bit reasonable.
