According to the "experts", weather in northeast America was not conducive for performing observational astronomy in ancient times, so it didn't happen. Yet in Great Britain and northwest Europe, where the activity was widespread, the weather is just as problematic, yet the practice is recognized and accepted by academics and historians. So, why the double standard between experts in each region?
