Adjunct to hyperskepticism or malignant debunkerism is the topic of pseudoarchaeology within the sphere of the academe. These guys (and to some extent gals) are playing hardball, misrepresenting so-called independent researchers in a guilt-by-association method, suggesting, for instance, that Hancock's work is basically as loony as von Daniken's, or that Collins' oeuvre is no different from Sitchen's--tarring the whole lot with the same broad brush.
