Which humans do you think made the trip? That far back, there are a couple to choose from.

I live near Meadowcroft, and there's no doubt in my mind that people have been in the Americas for a long, long time. The ice sheets would have wiped out any trace of earlier people and settlements and the Great Lakes did not exist. Like in Europe, the topography was nothing like it is today. I don't think that's ever taken into account. If you want evidence, you need to look near the old/no longer in existence riverbeds, lakes, etc. The spot I'm sitting on at this moment was at the bottom of a glacial lake 25,000 years ago, for example.
