By no means comprehensive, below is a partial list of bona fide archaeological-paleontology sites in North and South America that roughly antedate 13,000 BP. Of course, the dating of some of these sites is contested by one archaeologist or another for one reason or another. Unlike the “hard” sciences such a physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, etc., archaeology is part science and part art, even though those professionally engaged in it try to quantify and objectify as much as possible.

• Alice Böer, Brazil: 14,200 BP
• Arroyo del Vizcaíno, Uruguay: 30,000 BP
• Arroyo Seco, Argentina: 14,000 BP
• Burnham, Oklahoma: 40,000 BP
• Cactus Hill, Virginia: 18,000 – 22,000 BP
• Caldeirao de Rodriguez, Brazil: 17,000 BP
• Calico Early Man Site, California: 20,000 – 200,000 BP?
• Debra L. Friedkin, Texas: 14,000 – 16,000 BP
• Fort Rock Cave, Oregon: 9,000 – 13,000 BP
• Huaro Cave, Peru: 13,160 – 13,510 BP
• Manis Mastodon, Washington: 13,800 BP
• Meadowcroft Rockshelter, Penn.: 14,500 – 19,000 BP
• Monte Verde, Chile: 10,330 – 33,370 BP
• Morro Furado, Brazil: 16,200- 21,090 BP

• Tequendama, Columbia: 9,740 – 28,890 BP
• Tlapacoya, Mexico: 21,000 – 24,000 BP
• Toca da Tira Peia, Brazil: 22,000 BP
• Toca da Esperanza, Brazil: 22,000 – 295,000 BP?
• Topper, South Carolina: 15,000 – 50,000 BP

These few websites are possible places to start but certainly not to finish.

Very useful is the list of radiocarbon dates for sites discussed in Thomas D. Dillehay, The Settlement of the Americas: A New Perspective (New York: Basic Books/Perseus Books Group, 2000), pp. 295-321.
In addition, see my book, The Kivas of Heaven,Chapter 13, for a description of Dr. Jeffrey Goodman’s “psychic archaeology” dig during the 1970s in the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, Arizona, where he found chert and basalt tools in a 27-feet-deep shaft, with material at that level dated to over 100,000 BP.
