Thank you Madeleine for your interesting comment. I had no idea about the linguistic connections of the word Zhulong (Zu-Lun), or indeed the Sumerian connection of the word God and Bull. I am sure there is a great deal to be learnt from the names and the characters, of which there are many carved on these objects. If I am right about the twin craters and the unique ejection of this glass, it must have been seen as a powerful message from the gods, for Man to behave or else, and the glass itself must have been treated with great reverence and awe.
Parenthetically, I found it interesting that when I first went in the summer of 2010 to visit the twin craters, (which are called in Mongolian Chele-Wule and Ersige-Wule) I asked an old boy what the locals thought had caused them and he said a giant meteorite!
