Thank you for directing me to this thread. And thank you and everyone else for such very kind and thoughtful, and touching, good wishes. It's a bit scary of course, but I've spoken to people who've had such things - it seems to be quite common these days!! - including Fuzzy, and if they all coped I certainly can.
The wheels of the NHS grind rather slowly! The Consultant - with an unpronounceable name but with whom I was impressed - said it would be August, but I think it might be a little later. I asked (at end May clinic appt) what are my chances of dying beforehand, but he seemed to think that was not very likely! :) And the GP says carry on with all the exercise I do in the meantime.
I'll keep in touch here with further info. The next step is an angiogram on 22nd July, as he needs to know whether arteries are strong enough, but not to worry if they're not, he said, he'll just do a by-pass at the same time!!! EEEk!!
