Before the 2011 reduction to 0.7milligrams per liter it was 0.7 to 1.2 before that it was 4.0 milligrams per liter. So clearly the dangers of fluoride are being recognized. Albeit slowly.
Another thing to consider is not all fluoride is the same...there is significant difference between calcium fluoride which occurs naturally and fluoride compounds from industrial waste.
Another issue I have is the lack of studies done regarding the outcome of life time exposure to the different compounds or the cumulative affects. I have yet to find one.
