The SpaceX Falcon Heavy that launched in February can put 35,000 pounds into lunar orbit. But the Saturn V could put 107,000 pounds into lunar orbit. The Saturn V was NOT incapable of lifting the NASA stated weight of Apollo mission equipment. The Lunar Command Module and the Lunar Module had a combined weight of 48,500 pounds. Interestingly Skylab weighed about 170,000 pounds - but the Saturn V only had to put that into low Earth orbit (it was capable of putting 300,000 pounds into low Earth orbit). The Falcon Heavy could not have put Skylab into low Earth orbit because it can only lift 140,000 pounds into low Earth orbit.
The SpaceX BFR will be able to lift 330,000 pounds into low Earth orbit. It is designed to send the Dragon 2 module to Mars. The Dragon 2 will weigh about 14,000 pounds (empty) but 22,000 pounds when loaded with cargo and fuel. The BFR is designed to land itself on the moon, then take off and return to Earth, and land on Earth. To do so it will "retank" in Earth orbit (e.g. add additional fuel in orbit).
