What 'illegal private gun sales' are you referring to? Again note that those intent on breaking law will continue to do so, buying and selling illegal firearms. Making the transfer of legal firearms more difficult doesn't solve this problem.

So I ask again, please make a logical argument for your idea. In what way does your idea provide a solution? I am not deaf to logic.
