I've always seen that way and I think everyone does when they are "inside". But it's not an "eye" per se. It's a doorway. The outer, physical eyes are a reflection of the inner sense of sight which is greater than 3 dimensional.

Also, that part of our subtle anatomy has been changing in recent decades--the eye-center is merging with the crown. When I meditate I focus on that entire area--think of an observatory, where the opening for the telescope goes from the zenith to partway down the wall of the observatory, a segment of a circle.

All of the chakras are connected of course, but I'm talking about more than a connection.
