Would this alien's visual perception be the same as our 20/20 vision? What would the total blackness of its eyes suggest to a zoologist? Can they 'see' with their eyes in total darkness?
Why is the position of the camera so far back from the subject?
Cinematographers hate underlighting actors' faces, but puppeteers usually demand their puppets to be lit with less fill lighting than the cinematographer deems 'correct', in order to hide seams, strings, etc. Is this the case here? Having almost impenetrable darkness surrounding the puppet with only a spot of light illuminating its face seems to suggest so.
This footage appears to be 'real', ie. it has tremendous verisimilitude. But the absence of close-ups and alternate angles and lighting conditions stop me from forming the opinion that it is indeed an authentic uneartly humanoid before my eyes.
What is the origin of this footage? Where did it first appear? Has it been scrutinised by any scientific body?
I'd love this to be true, but, as always, I am VERY skeptical!
