The post by Slumach re Lost Mayan library was to me very interesting,
and got me to thinking about the Mayan Codex described as still lost and not found.
As an aside, what is the deal with this word Codex. Is the Bible a Codex?
Is a Codex more of an encyclopaedia of scientific and other information?
Whatever, Codex certainly sounds better than Brittanica, etc.
The bigger question I have is whether the Codex is supposed to shed any light on oncoming catastrophe's. I read elsewhere the Mayan calender goes on and on and on until Dec. 2023 and then ends.
Maybe the Codex is supposed to shed light on this issue, maybe not. What exactly is, if anything, known or speculated about the possible contents of the Mayan Codex?
