as i said in an earlier post "I've long known of the existence of el chupacabra, thats because i speak spanish and portugese and have a lot of portugese friends who speak about the animal in hushed tones. It's been in their folklore so long that they all think it's an evil spirit. Thats one reason why it's been undiscovered for so long. Who'd shoot at an evil spirit. not so in texas yeehaa"
People who have experienced this animal from a hispanic perspective are taught as children that it's a terrifying monster. (ever seen lord of the flies)
not so more sane americans who have been bought up to believe that if something moves it can be killed, as is the more correct form of thought in most of the western world......
I'm sure that the description given by a startled home owner of huge red eyes and those in the later description by mary.c who explained "she naturally assumed it was a dog or cat, the eyes of which commonly reflect brightly in headlights." further proves what i was saying earlier.
