A time traveller (messenger - angel) told the ancient person (who either wrote the original text or related what he was told to someone else later). In Hebrew, DVD transliterates as the Hebrew characters for "dvd" (unable to reproduce them here), but when this was related to other people as a sound and then much later translated into Greek, then Latin, then Old English, then 'modern English', then American English, etc. etc., the vowel sounds of "a" and "i" were added.
In much the same way, the numerical data that represent dates in the ancient texts have been converted into 'words' such as names of place names. These are obvious when scholars say that 'such and such Name' can not be traced in the chronology or the 'place Name' has never been found. The Hebrew word that we have been told may actually be a date, number, or some other 'modern word' not recognised by the ancient and current translators of the ancient texts.
