Interesting letter. I agree there is a "divine plan" waiting to unfold. And forgiveness and love is certainly important, but "evil people" will not change their ways simply by us loving them or forgiving them. Forgiveness is for us, so we can go on with our lives. It's not necessarily for the "perpetrator of the evil." God asks all of us to "repent of our evil ways." You have to recognize you've done something wrong and be held accountable for your actions before you can be forgiven." We will all stand before God one day be held accountable.Many will receive mercy and many will not because they refuse to.
If someone is truly "changing their ways or truly sees the light", " then of course we should have mercy on them and not turn them away. Mercy is for those who have"humbled themselves before God."
And as humans, we can all sometimes be most "unmerciful", that's why I'm glad God is in charge of this matter and not us.
