Like I have said before, I do not see reality the same way that you do.
You say that wireless communications is not the same as physics! Well, IMHO, you don't have any evidence and/or proof of that, specially since many wireless signals at different frequencies can actually go through physical walls, etc.
In addition, when using time modulation like in ultra wide band systems, then the physical matter is no longer the most important issue in the equation in terms of how those signals propagate, specially when applying theoretical mathematical limits to the equations and looking at how the various signals spread through the entire band. Clock synchronization and recovery then becomes the main issue.
I will tell you what. You can continue to think the way that you think and I will continue to push the limits of wave theory to the next dimensions. Either case, I do enjoy debating these issues with you and your post with the various traditional definitions of waves maybe useful to some people here.
In summary, don't forget the VERY basic equation which is:
Time = 1 / Frequency and, therefore, Frequency = 1 / Time
Where Time is the PERIOD of the specific frequency cycle in question...
