Dear Wild eyed, I have a story for you that is as true as I can recall.

In my native town , Armidale , in about 1955, when I was about 5 yrs old, approx, before any ufo or horror ideology in the public domain, there occurred the following:
I was in bed, in the total dark, in a room in the old police station , now a home.
It still had cell bars, and a well of old dropped in guns, but was basically a Policeman's residence..
So, As a young child, I turned over and looked into the eyes of a person , or the eyes of a primate, with round pupils, and brown or hazel in colour.. off the side of the bed not against the wall.
The eyes were of an awarre creature, and frightened me so much I hid under the blankets in fear.. a habit that still lingers, albeit without the fear.
I remember clearly that the gaze was on me.. aware of me in the manner of an aware creature to another.
I was a child, and nowize did this 'fit' my expectations, interests or experiences. So I dove into9 the under growth.
That same night I dreamed of flying over hills and valleys, a common enough experience nowadays, with a local airport.
But it seems I remember 3 'witches' that answered my Query re how this flying was possible.. they said, or I understood, that it was due to a 'Spindle'.
Now, the eyes were bigger than a humans, more like a Tarsiers/ or a sloth?.. and they were at home about 2 feet off the floor, as I had the gaze face into face, about a foot away.
Now, The parents and sister in the daylight next day, said It must have been a / the cat. end of story. But as far as I recollect, we didnt have a cat, they weren't the eyes of a cat (feline) , and I can't see how any light could have illuminated ANY eyes in that room, anyway.
So thats it.. a mystery.. shades of 'lumbering creatures with an amber gaze!'.
And in a long life of finding out things, I find that the root axis of osiris is A SPINDLE, sort of, an axis that is central to science.. the basic starter point for human science.
Makes you think.
