What I'm about to say happened when I was dating my first wife in the country of Costa Rica in what was 1958, I think. What I am about to relate was published in the San Jose newspapers, so one can find the account in the newspaper files in the National Library. Also, anybody about my age living there at the time should know about this. If you know any elderly Costa Ricans, check this out, for it's absolutely true.
For about two weeks, a strange humanoid started showing up at night in some of the more poverty-stricken neighborhoods. Many people saw it. As it walked along the street, windows and doors would pop out of their frames, the most ramshackly homes would fall apart, chicken houses would fly apart, etc. Yet, it did not harm any human, animal, or fowl.
On the first weekend after these occurrences started happening, my first wife and I went to visit one of those neighborhoods because I am always investigating strange matters like this. The devastation was unbelievable!
The newspapers advised all the people to stay indoors at night during that time. I didn't obey. I would visit with my first wife until 9:00 P.M. and then return. It was really scary walking on those empty streets, with the moonlight shining down on the cobblestones. Fortunately, I never saw it in person.
As I said, this lasted for only two weeks or so. The newspapers of the time reported on these mysterious happenings nearly every day. Ask some elderly Costa Ricans about this if you know any.
