Personal incredulity has quite a bit to do with anyone's rejection of chance.Quote
Actually Susan, what I had thought I made clear in that answer is that I do NOT presuppose that syncs are caused by a designing agent. That's certainly possible, but when I said 'effect' I was referring to an alternative non-random possibility, other than one involving a "designing power."
I am open to all sorts of explanations, but this is secondary to what must be established firmly first: the presentation of evidence which raises the possibility, or the likelihood of an outcome being non-random. This is a huge first step, if it is done properly, and one that speaks to our innate wiring, where we tend to reject Chance when improbability levels reach a certain threshold.
However, I'll be watching with interest, although with, possibly, somewhat sceptical antennae!!
