Hi Lee,

Yes, as a Christian, I think you are right. The "word" concept did originate in Egypt. The question is, who were the original Egyptians who understood this concept?

In the Egyptian Book of the Dead we read: "I go in like the "Hawk , and I come forth like the Bennu, the Morning Star {i.e., "the planet Venus} of Ra " {xii. 2]; "I am the Bennu, which is in "Heliopolis" {Xvii.27}, and the scholion on this passage expressely informs us that the Bennu is Osiris. Elsewhere the deceased says, "I am the Bennu, the soul of Ra, and the guide of the gods "in the Tuat; {xxix.c 1}; let it be so done unto me that I may come forth like Bennu, "the Morning Star" {cxxii.}

It's interesting to note that the word "ben" in Hebrew means "son of". I am the Bennu, the soul of Ra. OR I am Jesus the son of God. Ra or Amun-Ra or Amen-God.

This is interesting because Jesus makes this statement in the book of Revelation 22:16:

"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star."

In the Bible and in the Coptic writings, Heliopolis is known as "On". Ancient Egyptian history tells of ten "Neteru" (Gods) or Priests, also known as the "Shepherd Kings" that ruled ancient Heliopolis, They ruled for hundreds of years each for a period of 23,200 years. (Amen or Atum, Osiris, Horus, Nephtys, Isis, Set, Anubis, Aten, Serapis, and Nut) Then came the Shemsu-Hor , followers of Horus, which ruled for about 13,400 years. These Gods or Priests had obtained all wisdom and knowledge of the sciences, astronomy (precession, etc.), mathematics, architecture, and godly wisdom. It's interesting to note that after the reign of the 10 Priests of On, there is an abrupt ending to their dynasty caused by some kind of catastrophe. The Biblical Flood?

There are ten original Priests of the Bible before the Flood. Adam, Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahaleel, Jered, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah. Each of these men lived for hundreds of years. They were considered God's High Priests after the Order of Melchizadek, and also received all the knowledge and wisdom of the sciences, astronomy, mathematics, architecture, etc.

In Josphus' writings about the history of Adam and Seth, we read:

"Now Adam, who was the first man, and made out of the earth, (for our discourse must now be about him,) after Abel was slain, and Cain fled away, on account of his murder, was solicitous for posterity, and had a vehement desire of children, he being two hundred and thirty years old; after which time he lived other seven hundred, and then died. He had indeed many other children, (8) but Seth in particular. As for the rest, it would be tedious to name them; I will therefore only endeavor to give an account of those that proceeded from Seth. Now this Seth, when he was brought up, and came to those years in which he could discern what was good, became a virtuous man; and as he was himself of an excellent character, so did he leave children behind him who imitated his virtues. (9) All these proved to be of good dispositions. They also inhabited the same country without dissensions, and in a happy condition, without any misfortunes falling upon them, till they died. They also were the inventors of that peculiar sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies, and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, upon Adam's prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the force of fire, and at another time by the violence and quantity of water, they made two pillars, (10) the one of brick, the other of stone: they inscribed their discoveries on them both, that in case the pillar of brick should be destroyed by the flood, the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit those discoveries to mankind; and also inform them that there was another pillar of brick erected by them. Now this remains in the land of Siriad (The old name for Egypt) to this day."

The creation story according to Egypt:

"According to the Heliopolitans, the first act of creation occurred when the sun god Atum, "lord of Heliopolis", rose out of the chaos of Nun from a lotus flower and stood on a raised mound he created, the ben-ben. This first act of creation brought LIGHTinto the world. At the site of his emergence, the temple of Heliopolis was built. Atum was called a self-created god or the child of Nun. He was also said to be the ben-ben. At the time of the Pyramid Texts, Atum became identified with Re. As Atum-Re, he was connected to the Bennu bird (the phoenix)." This is provided these texts were translated properly.

"Atum" bears an amazing resemblence to "Adam". Atum was the first Lord of Heliopolis.

Jesus refers to himself as "the first Adam and the last Adam".

Another thing to note is, after the reign of the 10 Priests of Heliopolis, comes the reign of the Shemsu-Hor.

After Noah and the Flood, we introduce Shem and his descendants who were also great builders, astronomers, etc. Another amazing resemblence. Shem and Shemsu-Hor. We also note that a people called the "Habiru" invaded Egypt around or after this time. We now know that these people are the "Hebrews". One of Shem's sons was named Eber, who became the father of the Hebrews.

So one can conclude that the WORD did in Egypt with the SAME people that the Bible describes. Therefore a form of Christianity was already in place in Egypt thousands of years ago. And the Holy Bible is merely an extension of the original story and plan. One and the same.

Respectfully,
Kimberly
