Paul Mallon was using an inappropriate analogy. I don't think he was trying to infer that anyone who believed differently than Christianity is a pedophile in heat. When he states "ignorance", he is ascribing it to one subject--Christianity. However, I agree that his choice of words are inappropriate and inflammatory, hence why the second post on this thread is a Moderator Comment by me 9 days ago. If you note, there have been several moderator remarks on this thread by three board moderators. Earlier today, Mr. Mallon seemed to have some confusion as to why his thread was moderated. If my reply back to him wasn't clear enough, I'm sure that your pointing out the offensive stuff might open his eyes a little.

The world is a very diverse place. When in college, I worked for a bank that happened to hold accounts for three different local religious leaders. One was a Rabbi, the other a Baptist minister and the third, a Japanese buddhist. Odd as it may seem to some, they were all pals and highly respected each other. They often managed to come into the bank at the same time...to the point where it seemed like they preferred running into each other to "chit chat". It's a pity that so many assumptions are made about those of varying religions and their attitudes to one another. As those three men showed me, it just doesn't have to be that way.
