I am not referring to "proof " at all. I am referring to "evidence". The word that has been used here is evidence. I don't claim to have any "proof" of anything, just evidence. There is a difference between absolute proof and evidence.
I understand that "evidence" makes things open for interpretation. I also understand that many Christians do tend to "run off" with things before double checking and rechecking, but so do many archaeologists who don't ascribe to the Christian beliefs.
Most people interpret their finds based on their beliefs. I admit I do as well. But as long as there is evidence, I will continue to believe what I think is the truth.
