If there is no GOD, the Christ was deluded (insane), and all Christians as well as folks in any other religion are fools. It also follows that fundamental structures of morality, law, and ethics are based on false premises. Basically, life sucks, then you die. There is no meaning. Etc.
But if there IS a GOD, particularly a Christian God, who is described clearly as having a personal interest in humanity (i.e., not Deistic), and who is described as having the Holy Spirit (3rd person or "aspect" of God) both responsible for the development and accuracy of the scriptures as well as having a personal relationship with believers ----- then if this is in fact correct, then the particular chapters and versus would have been "inspired" under guidance.
It does not, however, necessarily follow that playing numerological games have meaning....nor does it mean that in all cases there is no meaning, either.
