Upon reading Elizabeth's post, where she said that the soul of Jesus could have been the same soul as Christ's, I thought, hang on, they both stood for different things, so they couldn't have been an incarnation of the same soul but in your reply to Elizabeth you answered that by saying that "It could easily be that Jesus's miraculous reputation was also inherited from prior sources".
I can't for the life of me see how Jesus' miraculous reputation could easily have been inherited from an earlier source. For one, it would have required superhuman contrivance from a large number of people working as a tightly integrated unit to incorporate so many of Krishna's attributes into one man, who had only comparatively recently died and what on earth would be the point of such a mammoth effort?
Also, this adopted repututation would have to of been carefully crafted and dovetailed into, not only previous apocryphal and prophetic writings, in the Old Testament, such as Daniel and Ezekiel but also it would have had to of been blended into the mountainous work of Revelation in the New Testament. I think such an enterprise a complete impossibility, due to the complexity of the task...
