Hi Phil

I wouldn’t expect ‘ Records’ of Christ himself.
Jesus was a Jew.
Titus killed 600,000 of those Jews in 70 AD.
The Jewish Priesthood had Jesus killed , they surely did not want a public record of a Rebel to add strength to the Brotherhood of Man.
The Message of Christ was a good one. It glorifies idealistically the human being as a living entity that has a purposefulness of self. A purpose given by a God of a Perfected State of Righteousness. It helps the suffering to believe that the pains of life are not all in vain. They have a reason with a reward that is greater in wealth than all the wealth of the materialized world.
This Message of Christ was Good and the worlds peoples have responded positively too it, for over 2000 years.
Jesus was a good person.
But he was Not the person he claimed to be.
He was not the Son of an All-Powerful God Father . He was a mortal man , a young intelligent man , living in a world where his people at that times were being subjected to imprisonment and slavery. Jesus was a remarkable person an outstanding human being.
But so to has been many , many others. Some have even managed to build religious institutions that because of the needs and faiths of others lasted ages upon ages. Jesus did no more than had others before him, and Not more the Christian Priesthood that took up his message as their own. Not more than the followers of Mohammad have done with Islam. All of these people in their own right did as equal of deeds of righteousness as did Christ.
This following of a doctrine of Righteous living , if a believer of them, this is the legacy of Christ story.
Jesus however does not deserve the claim of saving a soul. Of enlightening a sinful mankind.
Great Civilizations of high and noble ideas had been apart of man kinds earthly experiences long before Christ made his mark , his foot print in the sands of time.
The Laws of human conduct that helps uphold the human condition as a worthy one , in the human mind, those are the sort of laws that lead to every great civilization ever founded. Those were the laws that built a Mighty Human Empire..The Roman Empire.
When those sort of Laws are transgressed , are ignored , than is sin a reality.
Rome fell because far to many of it’s Citizens forgot that the Laws are for man, by man. They forgot that it was winning the Battle of Honor that upheld that Empire Not a God.

Rome Fell, Jesus fell. There are No favorite sons.
Such is the tale of human adventure.

Regards,
