Did Jesus really live?
According to modern scholarship which has investigated the available evidence, there is no concrete conclusive evidence of a historical Jesus.
A few historical records which mention Jesus have been proven to be forgeries. Couple this with the fact that the Romans meticulously kept records of just about everything and yet failed to mention a Jesus of Nazareth anywhere.
Did Jesus really do everything that the New Testament attributes to him?
The story of Jesus Christ is the rehashed story of Horus, Dionysus and Mithras to name a few.
Word for word, VERBATIM.
Anyone who does not know this is ignorant of the facts or they are understandably in a state of denial.
I personally would like to believe that a person named Jesus did in fact live and that he became a great master in the knowledge and practice of Hermetic teachings. Most probably he was initiated into a mystery religion in Egypt where he would have risen from adept to master.
Having attained such a high level of spiritual enlightenment, it is possible that the Gnostics of that time would have attached the age old story of Horus to Jesus in order to perpetuate the ancient wisdom for a new generation and to keep the light of this knowledge alive so as not to be forgotten.
The story of Jesus as told in the New Testament gospels is the roadmap to spiritual enlightenment. The aim of these teachings is to awaken the realisation that each one of us has this Christ within us.
Just like Jesus did before us, we must first die before we are reborn.
This is an allegory for the death of our base animal self and the rebirth of our higher spiritual essence which is divine and eternal.
Did Jesus really live?
That is not important really.
It's the story which is important.
And the story (which really is the greatest story ever told) continues to live through Jesus.
It is the religious institutions which have corrupted, edited and suppressed the true spiritual meanings of these original Gnostic texts so that they can manipulate and control the masses.
Remember that during the feudal times, the hierarchy was GOD, KING then BISHOP. During the Dark Ages it became GOD, BISHOP then KING. This is the clearest example that religion = power.
