I just started re-reading my dog-eared (actually dog-chewed!) copy of Michael Harner's "The Way Of The Shaman", and stopped my reading of it for today at the part where he first mentions the word NAGUAL. I love it when the coincidences really do have some meaning for me! I was hoping to get my 14 year old neice to read it, and a few other books. She is very open to the types of ideas in such books - only person I've ever met who I believe could REALLY benefit from such things - and really "go places" with it - but, alas, some mis-conception of my intentions has us now estranged. She's like the daughter I never had. My only recourse is to try to master such things myself - and secretly teach her without my actually being there.
