The reason why I'm saying this is because ancient India used to be much larger than the sub-continent. It could be that Melchizedek was from some other place outside the Indian subcontinent - perhaps Persia. I will do research on this Machiventa.
The names of the Three Wise Men are especially intriguing, for they are North Indian names: Caspar appears to derive from Cassopai, meaning "Kashmirian leader." Melchor may be derive from "Melik-Shor or King of the Bulls or Shiva tribe. Shor is the Kashmirian word for "Bull." Baltazar may derive from Balti-zar (King of the Balts). This last tribe emigrated to what are not the Baltic states in remembrance of their old home in North India: Baltika. The Bible says that they did come from the East.
I'll do some investigation on this Machiventa.
