There seems to be truth in all the comments you have elicited before this additional one form me. This is just my brief and hasty attempt to unify all that has been said before me. Everyone is within their right to disagree or augment what is being said.
From you and Gene, there is truth that many religions before Christianity contain some of the same teachings. The source of these teachings is Machiventa Melchizedek, and his missionaries spread the Salem doctine of Gd over the known world for hundreds of years, evolving into the various religions you and Gene and others find commanlities in.
Machiventa was an "emergency" Son (Melchizedek) roughly 2000 BC. Emergency because the light of God was so faint.
I find truth in David L's comments about the Source...in that true religion will always credit the Source (God, Father, etc) hence, revelatory religions always are more clear about God than evolutionary religions of human beings.
There is truth in what Milo says in this regard because some of these evolutionary religions don't necessarily claim allegiance to God the Father, but teach how we are immortal, little "gods" ourselves. Hence, the Nephalim who sided with Lucifer's Rebellion.
These teachings have been around since 250,000 years ago since the days of Dalamatia. The serpent was Lucifer's banner not Michael's.
The light of God has been revealed to the sons of God (humans) several times by Sons of God (albeit different orders and at different epochs). that light has been distorted and endangered through rebellion and default in some cases. The effects are still felt today.
Jesus came to reveal the light of God once again, the Love of Father and the brotherhhod of humanity as His sons. Jesus, as both human Jesus (son of God) and divine Michael (Son of God) was/is able to do more for humanity when he went back to the Father because he is now a spiritual circuit for all his Universe. Whereas in the flesh, his reach was limited to personal contact.
Greetings my Internet friends,
