In one sense we are all unique. Our millions of lifetimes as plants, animals, humans, our inner non-physical lives, our thoughts, deeds, desires all add up to the sum of who we are. But at our core, our innermost selves, we are the same and we are connected. All the differences are really veils of illusion. We are all chips off the same Block, our inner structure is the same, etc., and we will all return--one way or another--to from whence we originated. As to the "whys" and "hows", those questions will only be answered when we return to that high state and can understand them.
