Note that the brain activity actually increases when one is asleep..
You say, "death is like a longer night, when we get born again, we do not remember our previous lifes". Well, I believe that a complete disconnect between the outer space physical dimension and our inner space personal reality dimension takes place at that stage.
In terms of "real awakening", I am not exactly sure what you mean by that!? Consciousness is overated...
IMHO, all eternal knowledge is stored in some inner space dimension that can always be tapped by us as long as we don't block the flow of that particular energy..
To go without sleep is pratically impossible since the mind could no longer discriminate between dimensions. Try it and then you will know immediately that you are only living an illusion, regardless of what your mind tells you when you are awake..
Many drugs can also put you in such a mental state where you are seeing strange things..
What happens is that our 5 main physical senses start becoming less important and our inner space senses take over. You say that this is not a "healthy thing, since our mind will start to confuse things, and one is less alert". I agree, since this is not necessarily normal!
I suppose that we are all projected here into this physical dimension for some very specific reasons and, therefore, should use our 5 main physical sense to experience, observe and learn as much as possible..
Yes, things do look very real to us in time when we are awake, but, that does not mean that we should just ignore all other input. Note that we all MUST sleep for a significant portion of our lives here...
