So you do hold some truths that you follow in this existance(life on Earth).
I realize that there a many forms(practices) of yoga.Although I adhere mainly to Raja-Yoga.I've also read about Jnana-Yoga.On the front cover of the book I have on Jnana-Yoga is a quote from Swami Vivekananda which I believe is interesting and insightful and pertains to my thread on,"Truth."
It appears to be a truth. Please let me know what you think about it.
"Each soul is potentially divine. The goal is to manifest this divinity within by controlling nature:external and internal.Do this either by work,or worship,or psychic control,or philosophy-by one or more,or all of these-and be free."
By controlling nature. What is this nature of which he writes? The Veda's write of the 3 modes of material nature.
1.Free from dualities
2.Free from anxieties for gain
3.Free from anxieties for safety
What is the definition of anxiety? In a word-worry.
Why are you more worried(anxious) about the cruelty that truth would present than the safety you seek from lieing.?Seeking safety prevents one from being free. When one lies it not only seeks safety but can also seek gain.
If we tell the truth we seek neither gain or safety nor are we tied to dualities.
Can one then seek the divine or as you wrote,"merge with God," through lies? No,I don't believe we can.
