Great truths to ponder I think, yes. Thank you for inviting others' thoughts, and I will try to add my own to yours just as succinctly.
As to #1. I think we all come to this observation sooner ot later as life doles out many hard lessons. Part of the truth about the universe being made of love (compared to being composed of good and evil), is that the universe is upheld and gives itself unconditionally, irrespective of our will-decisions.
The short phrase, "God is love" contains much of this meaning, IMO.
As to #2. I would like to add to those rich commodities by saying they are our personal commodities. Hence, the gift of personality given to us (our energy) in time/space. People struggle to know the truth about the source of these gifts, so this is my answer to your question about believing, in that belief is no subsitute for experiential faith.
As to #3. Your statement contains truth for me even though I can take more or less the same words and arrnage them differently.
We learn to love by desiring to give and share ourselves with others (unconditionally according to #1, and because we are all universe brothers and sisters according to #2).
Love is the giving and sharing of our time and energy
> towards wants and desires
