With respect, the examples of universal truths that you suggest are simply observations, and as such, they have very little to do with TRUTH.
Truth is simply that which remains- after all artifice, all contrivance, all attempts to prise its virginal legs open- still intact, still undefiled; unchanging, impermeable, indivisible..,the bedrock matrix from which all existence flows in its infinite variety....; more simply, truth is what underlies the appearance of things...truth is 'what is'.
But..., for the sake of argument- which is afterall what we're all indulging ourselves with here- one could suggest:
there is a distinction between TRUTH..., and 'A TRUTH'.
Which is to say, we do as sentient beings accept the appearance of truth in modified form- something called gravity causes apples to fall back onto the earth instead of spiralling gloriously into the far reaches of the universe. But this is in the nature of a compromise- we sort of have to accept token 'rules of the road' in order to prevent the whole system from crashing in a screaming heap around our ears....., despite the fact that we have no idea what this thing called 'gravity' really is.
So, there's really no harm in conjectures of this sort Dane..., it helps pass the time and sometimes lasting relationships are formed by our mutual speculations...., but it is not the avenue through which to pursue such an elusive entity- reminiscent of those sub-atomic particles which are transformed merely by the intrusion of our observation..., as truth.
TRUTH is all around us; truth is everywhere...it is only our assurance, our sense of self-importance that prevents us from enjoying it.
