Very interesting responses.I have two points I'd like to address.Ricon did a very nice job addressing the first one.So I won't go there.Your last comment was about love. I'm a little confused here. Are you commenting about 2 loves;one real and the other mystical or writting about 1 love having 2 parts?
The reason that I believe this truth about love being the giving and sharing of time and energy, our 2 riches commodities,is based upon the idea that it is shared and given. It isn't expected.Expectations produces a belief that one deserves love without actually doing anything to recieve it.One can believe that they deserve love because they are so good, hard working, successful, etc.Expected love is a means to an end not a process in itself. It,love, should be given on demand or when expected.Especially when one believes they have earned it.Shared and given love lacks expectations and demands.
As I believe you have stated love is a process not a means to an end.Love is something we give to ourselves and others because we want and desire too.Isn't this what God or the Godhead does.God doesn't love us only when we love him/her.God or Godhead gives and shares his love with us regardless of what we offer them.Isn't part of our kharma to learn how to love this way?
