I am still lost as to your reasoning in

I agree. Ultimately, we are all "marked." I didn't mean literally marked, just that certain adepts are destined to take certain souls out of the world, out of this consciousness, to put it more accurately. But we are not all ready for that. Some don't have the slightest interest and others are burdened with the need for logic, full of left-brained reasoning and hair-splitting, and insistent on the spiritual path fitting their preconceived notions of how it should work and why it should agree with whatever's been written in some 2000 year-old text. Until they get past all that, it ain't happening.
I have no personal experience with Jesus, but true adepts are pretty much all the same, merged with the same Source, including the one who initiated me and introduced me to the inner planes--some of them anyway...
If you research "Shabd path", "Logos", Rumi, Kabir, Nanak, Tulsi Sahib, Charan Singh, Mira Bai, read the Adi Granth, read most sufi literature, you will find plenty of back-up for the need for a living adept, or "master". This is what Jesus meant meant when he referred to himself as a door, and also said "I am the way." He didn't mean he was the way for everyone, just his initiates--the apostles, etc.

I meant that we can't rely on logic when trying to understand 4th dimensional concepts, and other spiritual matters. The goal is to go beyond the mind and merge with the Source, and the mind is not anxious for that to happen. It will do anything to maintain it's control.
